Description of the 4 Science Experiments :

Polymers & Slime Science Kit for Kids

Gooey Slime is a fun science experiment for kids where they make their own polymer at home. Why are polymers important to us? There are polymers everywhere around us. From plastic bottles, erasers, rubber shoes to glue; these items are examples of polymers that are around us.  Polymers are made completely from a large number of similar units bonded together in form of long chain (‘poly’ meaning many and ‘mer’ means units). This special arrangement makes polymers stretchy or rubbery. This experiment will allow kids to know about this concept in the most fun and innovative way! Click Here for Step by Step Instructions with Youtube Video Tutorial.

Worm Slime from the Science Kit for Kids

Worm Slime is a fun science experiment for kids to do at home which shows how easily they can make their own worm like polymer! Kids will learn that there are many types of polymers around us and the properties depend on the chemicals they are made from. In the Gooey Slime experiment, kids make a rubbery polymer called Gooey Slime using two chemicals PVA and Borax. In this experiment, kids make a worm like long chained polymer using different chemicals: Sodium Alginate and Calcium Chloride. Sodium Alginate is a common food additive used as a thickener and gelling agent in ice cream, jellies, jams and pie fillings. Make your own worm polymer!. Snow Color Mountain from the Slime Kit for Kids

COLOR SNOW MOUNTAIN is a fun science experiment for kids to do at home through which they can make a colorful fluffy mountain. In this experiment kids get to learn about a polymer and a really different property that makes this experiment even more fun to do.

Invisible Water Science Activity from the Science Kit for Kids

INVISIBLE WATER is a fun Science experiment with Water – where kids can make water disappear from a cup using a polymer with a very particular property. In this Chemistry experimen -kids get to learn more about polymers.
