Working Principle of Liquid Nitrogen Explosion :
Liquid Nitrogen is Nitrogen with Chemical Formula “N” Atomic Numer 7 in the liquid state at an extremely low temperature. Liquid nitrogen is a cryogenic fluid that can cause rapid freezing on contact.
In this experiment, liquid nitrogen in at an extremely low temperature which is -210 Degrees Celcius and when hot water ( +100 Degrees Celcius) is added to it there is an explosion. This happens because of the high difference in the temperature of both liquids and the rate of evaporation gets much faster. One is at a very low temperature and one is at a very high temperature this causes an explosion.
After the explosion, all the liquid Nitrogen gets converted into Nitrogen gas.
