Hair Analysis – Science activity for Kids from Forensic Kit
Hair Analysis Test is a forensic science experiment for Kids where hair strands were collected from the crime scene investigation site – as well as from the suspects. Since we have a list of suspects – we need to find out the culprit. We will use a magnifying glass or a smartphone microscope to find out the hair strand that matcheswith the collected sample.
Safety First! Adult Supervision Required. Wear safety goggles where ever required

- Hair strands collected from the scene
- Hair strand samples
- Magnifying class
- Forceps
- Smartphone Microscope ( Optional – Made from Previous Science Kit)
- Activity Book (Investigation)

Step 1: Take the hair sample out of the bag with Forceps for testing and keep it on the white sheet/ White lit Smarphone. Open white Image on your Smartphone . You can Search on Google for white Image or Click here.
Step 2: Use a Magnifying glass to find out the color of the Hair Sample.
Step 3: You can also use a smarphone microscope made from Previous Science Kit (Optional)
Step 4: Take the samples and the evidence from the crime scene and compare. Enter your recordings in the Activity Recording sheet Part of your Forensic Science Kit by Zlife Education.
